1. Marketplace scope
These terms apply to company profiles, talent discovery, job posts, applications, recruiting messages, referrals, reviews, freelance projects, proposals, contracts, milestones, and related paid features. They supplement the main Terms of Service.
2. Independent users
Employers, companies, candidates, clients, and freelancers act independently. PEA Africa provides technology, moderation, matching, and optional support, but is not the employer, recruitment agency, worker, client, legal representative, or guarantor of any user unless a separate signed agreement states otherwise.
3. Company profiles and verification
Representatives must be authorized to act for the company and must keep identity, website, location, size, benefits, and hiring claims accurate. Verification confirms only the checks described for the badge at the time performed; it is not an endorsement, credit assessment, or guarantee. Badges may be reviewed or removed.
4. Jobs and applications
- Job title, duties, location, work mode, compensation, deadline, requirements, and application method must be accurate and lawful.
- Candidates must not be charged to apply, interview, receive an offer, or access ordinary onboarding.
- Employers must use relevant, lawful criteria and must not rely on protected traits or deceptive automated scoring.
- Candidates must submit truthful experience, education, work samples, references, and availability.
- An application, match, score, badge, message, or interview does not guarantee hiring.
5. Freelance projects and milestones
Parties must define scope, deliverables, dates, acceptance criteria, ownership, confidentiality, revision limits, and milestone amounts before work begins. Changes should be documented in the platform. Do not release a milestone until the agreed work is accepted. Platform dispute support evaluates available records but does not replace a court, arbitrator, or legal adviser.
6. Fees and promotions
Applicable subscription, promotion, credit, service, or transaction fees are shown before purchase. Paid visibility affects placement or duration but does not guarantee impressions, applications, proposals, sales, interviews, or a successful hire.
7. Reviews, posts, and connections
Reviews and professional posts must reflect genuine experience, avoid confidential or personal data, and comply with the Community Guidelines. Incentivized reviews must be disclosed. Connections and follows are communication features, not proof of affiliation or endorsement.
8. Safety and disputes
Keep agreements, messages, and evidence on-platform where possible. Never share passwords, OTPs, PINs, or full payment-card details. Report suspected fraud promptly. We may restrict transactions or accounts while reviewing safety, payment, identity, or contractual concerns.
